Julio Martínez Gómez con Miguel Fernández Castañón, del Bañezano del Cantabria León, campeones en la categoría K-2 sénior del 73 Descenso Internacional del Sella, en 1h.01.14, récord actual, en K2, con salida en Arrióndas y llegada en el puente de Ribadesella, el 8 de agosto del 2009. [2]

Bouzán Sánchez, Walter del Feve Oviedo Kayak Asturias, campeón en la categoría K-1 sénior del 73 Descenso Internacional del Sella, en 1h.07:28, récord actual de la prueba en K1, con salida en Arrióndas y llegada en el puente de Ribadesella, el 8 de agosto del 2009. [3]

Nota: Los resultados de 1972, no figuran en la memoria de la F.E.P. , solo se han incluido el primer K1 y k2 que reconoció la organización.

(*) Nota: la doble nacionalidad de algunos palistas, no implica cambio en su nacionalidad “real”, sino el país bajo cuya licencia/club aparecen inscritos en cada edición, algo muy típico en aquellos años, y más aún con sudafricanos que debían competir “bajo otras banderas” por las sanciones deportivas, por lo que aquí aparecen con su nacionalidad “real”.

Recorridos:
En la actualidad han cambiado las Etapas o Controles que con el fin de que el paso del grupo de cabeza puediera ser controlado a lo largo de todo el Descenso, y de señalar a los seguidores los puntos más interesantes del recorrído, se establecieron tres etapas o controles. La primera etapa que se llamaba "Incierta," porque precisamente era incierto el lugar en donde el tren atajaba a las piraguas . En ese lugar no determinado, era donde estaba situada la etapa, y en el caso posible de que esto no ocurriese, se considerará control incierto el establecido en el Puente roto de Torraño, situado a unos 6,5 kilómetros del puente de Arriondas. La segunda etapa o control de la pólvora o de mitad del recorrido, está situada en la Peña de la Requexada, aproximadamente a 10 kilómetros de la salida. Y la tercera y última etapa, se encuentra en la Presa de Llovio, de paso difícil, donde termina el rio y empieza propiamente la ría, situada a 14 kilómetros de la salida y a 5 kilómetros del puente de llegada en Ribadesella, que en la actualidad el Puente roto de Toraño , sirve de meta para Cadetes, Damas y Veteranos, siendo la meta para los demás participantes la ya dicha del puente de Ribadesella.
